Ink laid flat on a heavy crewneck sweatshirt keeps the woodcut hatching crisp, so the parka in this artwork reads as hundreds of short cut lines, and the faint scratches inside the block capitals look like wear on an old sign. The lettering runs in three tilted lines that step down to the right: I’m Thawing. in cream, Tell Me in pale sky blue, Everything. in cream again.
