Design story & product details
A pale curved strip interrupts the lower edge of the black circle, carrying four widely spaced Korean characters in a much heavier hand than the fine architectural linework. The words are Korean and mean “Korean palace.” On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, that compact band gives the courtyard scene a firm base beneath the perspective of the paving stones.
Within the circle, a nearly symmetrical two-storey palace is drawn with broad tiled roofs and turned-up corners. White pillars and open sky remain clear against dense black hatching worked through the eaves, brackets, window panels, and roof undersides. Central steps rise between narrow railings to a dark doorway, while low walls run out on either side with stippled tree forms beyond them. Tall, thin serif lettering follows the outer circle in a full sentence about Joseon royalty and Seoul, its pronounced thick–thin strokes held in solid black.
- Large irregular paving slabs recede across the foreground toward the steps.
- Dense hatching gives the roof structure and window panels their darkest detail.
- Low walls frame the building with stippled trees visible behind them.
