Design story & product details
The artwork arranges heavy, tall lettering with a layered effect, solid outlines, and pale fills that become darker toward the base. Overlapping the wide letters, a carefully illustrated figure turns their back, holding a round lidded vessel. The fine hatching of the drawing brings out deep shadows in the cloth draped over the figure’s shoulder and arm, as well as within the folds of their garments. A leafy branch motif marks the pot, matching the band decorating the figure’s styled hair.
