"Long Weekend" Classic Dad Hat · Embroidered

An unusually wide empty band holds the composition apart, leaving a pause between the arched Long and the dense Weekend below. No other image interrupts that blank space, and the lower line feels more compressed because of it.

Long rises in a broad arch: the L and G drop lower at the ends and tip outward, while O and N climb toward the middle. Weekend runs in a straight line beneath it, its tightly packed heavy slab-serif characters creating a firm horizontal counterweight.

Both words use muted ochre-brown thread edged in a thick black contour, with solid offset black shadows falling predominantly down and to the right. Short irregular black bars cross the letter interiors, stopping and starting according to each form instead of making a uniform texture. Narrow brown gaps remain between the bars, while small white openings survive inside several characters.

Long Weekend is rendered as embroidery for a Classic Dad Hat, preserving the contrast between the spacious upper word and the crowded lower row. The lettering is the only artwork here; no symbol or scene fills the surrounding space.
