Design story & product details
Black ink and open white space give the artwork its hard contrast: a grayscale face emerges beneath jagged brush lettering that reads Money. The Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt carries the portrait with dark lenses, pale frames and a blunt question beneath it: Money Can Make U Happy?
The face is not smoothed into a clean illustration. Thick brows press toward oversized rounded glasses, while dense shadow gathers under the frames and around parted black lips. Small white teeth interrupt the mouth, and bright touches on the cheeks, chin and lower lip give the features a cut-through quality. Fine crack-like marks in the pale frames are an especially sharp detail.
The mark-making stays restless throughout. Diagonal white streaks slice across lenses filled with overlapping rectangular banknotes and muted green notes of colour. Black starburst marks break around the glasses and the sides of the face, answering the uneven strokes and long drips in the top lettering. Splashes and narrow runs fall away from the floating portrait, leaving the surrounding white space deliberately bare.
