Design story & product details
Muted brown-taupe on the upper line and deep burgundy below balance one another in two tightly layered statements: “Most of this” and “was unplanned.” The tall, compressed capitals are pressed close together with thick verticals and subtle flared serifs, letting the capital M and h stake out each edge of the text block. Pale flecks and worn patches scatter through both lines, breaking up the solid colour just enough to soften their presence without any added outline.
The lower line’s l stretches into the upper gap, while the p sinks just below the rest, creating a gentle motion in the stack. At the very end, a small oval period is drawn close to the final d, an intentional detail completing the phrase.
