"Mostly Early" Classic Dad Hat · Embroidered

The broad arch of “MOSTLY” is the largest shape in the artwork, stretching near the full width in tall varsity slab-serif capitals. Its central letters rise, while the M and Y angle outward at opposite ends, a small adjustment that keeps the arch from feeling mechanically even. Beneath it, a symmetrical horizontal ornament builds from long white bars enclosed in black outlines. Each side resolves into stepped ends around a raised rectangular middle. A large outlined diamond overlaps that middle, enclosing a smaller white diamond edged in black.

“EARLY” runs below on a straight baseline, its upright characters closely spaced and held apart from the ornament by an open white band. Thick outer contours, white interiors and inset black lines give both words a layered collegiate treatment. Rendered as embroidery on the Classic Dad Hat, the black-and-white construction keeps the letterforms and geometric marks connected as one artwork. Mostly Early reads as a brief phrase about getting started early, with “mostly” adding a knowingly qualified note. The measured gaps around the middle prevent the paired rows from closing in on the diamond.
