"Noir Detective" Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt

A small round button near the waist is one of the few clean interruptions in Noir Detective, a monochrome detective silhouette built from black mass and worn pale marks. The figure faces right beneath a wide brim, its face reduced almost completely to black, apart from the projecting edge of a nose and chin. A bent arm brings a handgun upward to the right. The open gap between gun and head keeps those hard forms distinct, while cream and pale grey scratches over the crown, raised collar and lapels give the silhouette its scraped, hand-worked surface.

The long coat is the drawing’s real engine on the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, breaking apart at the left into jagged ribbons, scattered dots and elongated ink drips. The other arm descends beside the coat and finishes near a rectangular cuff buckle. Pale scoring picks out sleeve folds, coat seams, trouser lines and the points of the shoes without softening the dense black through the torso and lower panels. The flaring coat carries much of the movement, yet the narrow body remains isolated by unmarked space around it.
