Design story & product details
A broad, tilted hat and a fall of dark hair lead the portrait in Passing Train, rendered through black, cream, and muted gray shading. A unisex crewneck T-shirt carries her thick-rimmed sunglasses, where pale glints and fine reflected structures cross the lenses before giving way to solid black below. Dangling earrings and several loops of black beads frame her face, while small curling ornaments work through the hat’s dark underside.
Floral and oval motifs cover her clothing before connected train carriages take over the right side, following curved rails toward flowers and leaves near the lower edge. Rounded clouds gather behind the cars, with open ground remaining outside the illustration’s irregular outline. Cream brush lettering moves through the lower portion in sharply varied, pointed strokes, reinforced by heavy black edging and backing. The words are Korean; in English, they mean that today is a good journey too, giving the train route a direct travel message.
