The pencil hatching comes through in the print, so the robot looks hand-shaded, with every grey scratch and rust fleck still there on this heavyweight crewneck tee. A worn-out robot slumps on its power box with its head down and plugs a cable into its own shin, and the words Patience Needs Charging say what everyone’s thinking.

The orange collar on the plug is the small detail that makes the joke. It makes a good birthday gift for a teacher who’s running on fumes by Friday.
