Design story & product details
A curling ocean wave grows out of a rolled striped towel, carrying its far end toward the upper right before breaking into pale mint foam. The roll anchors the lower left with a tight spiral of deep teal and light grey stripes. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, that continuous towel-to-wave curve gives the artwork its main shape: an ordinary bathroom object unfolding into something it cannot contain. Stippled terry texture follows the stripes, while the crest dissolves into spatter and loose droplets.
- A stitched hem line follows the inner curve, preserving a small, recognisable towel detail even where the fabric becomes a wave.
- Poorly Contained fills the hollow in two stepped lines. Dark teal letters have thin outlines, and each rests on its own tilted grey cut-paper tile, giving the wording a ransom-note arrangement.
- The lowercase i forms vary in size and retain their dotted tops. Those small differences add irregularity to lettering already broken up by the separate tiles.
The foam and spiral hold the densest marks, while open grey space at the upper left and bottom right leaves room around the curl. The wording makes a dry joke out of the towel’s transformation. It suits someone who enjoys visual jokes built from everyday objects.
