Design story & product details

“Rated for Forty Below.” arches across the top in tall serif capitals fading from cream to gold, like an old expedition poster. A parchment ribbon at the bottom delivers the punchline: “Worn Downtown.” It’s an honest joke about serious cold-weather gear that mostly sees coffee runs.

The climber between them, in a mustard parka and gold crampons on a snowy summit, gives the sweatshirt its swagger, and the framing rope drips with tiny icicles. It suits the friend who owns an expedition parka and wears it to the grocery store.
