Design story & product details
The upper left and lower right corners stay empty, leaving room around a feather that travels from lower left to upper right. Its fine black hatching carries the curve of the vane over cream, interrupted by pale streaks where it catches light. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, that long diagonal meets the tightly jostling paper letters of Repairable beneath it. The feather has a delicate structure, while the word is assembled from heavy, uneven fragments.
- The shaft is a thin cream line that finishes in a pointed quill at the bottom left. Near its base, loose downy wisps fray outward beyond the more closely drawn barbs.
- Midway down the right edge, the vane splits open. Thin, separate barbs cross the exposed gap, making the break a specific part of the feather’s drawing.
- Each letter has its own torn cream scrap and ragged border. Serif and block sans faces mix together, with cracked fills and halftone speckles; one darker scrap interrupts the sequence.
The word rises on a slight upward slant, and its scraps overlap the quill, bringing the two parts into direct contact. Repairable gives that visible split an ordinary, practical answer: something damaged can be mended. It suits someone who enjoys detailed drawing and rough paper lettering.
