Arched in a bold, thick serif, the phrase ‘BETWEEN SETS’ rises like a marquee, each gold letter deeply shadowed for a lifted, almost architectural effect. The typography curves gently, not just as a visual device, but forming a subtle canopy for the detailed engraving below. Black drop shadows sharpen the edge of every letter, contrasting directly against the gray ground for clarity and weight.
A finely drawn frame of curling vines surrounds the interior illustration, with symmetrical acanthus flourishes and slender posts at either side, lending the scene a sense of order and tradition. Much of the linework is executed in subtle crosshatching—a nod to antique printmaking styles—especially around the windowpane shadows and the folds of the towel on a precisely rendered flat weight bench.
