Design story & product details
Gray and blue-gray meet in Rhino Coffee Break, where an upright rhinoceros is rendered with a white shirt under pale-grid overalls. The artwork on this Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt gives the animal an oversized head, tall ears and two pointed horns; the larger left horn rises in tan, cream and dark gray. Half-closed eyes lend the face its reserved, unhurried expression.
At lower left, one hand steadies a white pitcher, while the raised hand at right holds a white cup of brown coffee under curling steam. A shallow oval saucer with more brown liquid rests by the figure’s feet. Two ocher buttons mark the overall straps, and the broad rectangular pocket is secured with small circular fasteners. There is no readable lettering in the design.
Thin dark contours hold the figure together, while broken gray strokes gather at the eyes, muzzle and neck to build its folds and wrinkles. The pale grid of the blue-gray overalls stays fine enough to let the denser drawing carry the image. Open space is left around the silhouette, making the pitcher, cup and saucer read as separate parts of the coffee-making scene.
