Design story & product details
Dark blue ink turns the mark on the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt into a tightly observed corner bookstore, led by the large arched words “SEOUL STORIES BEGIN.” The heavy slab-serif capitals are irregular in a deliberate, hand-drawn way, filled solidly without a separate outline. Fine hatching and stippling work through the façade, leaving the window openings white and sharply divided. Four tall upstairs windows carry planted ledges, while a projecting rectangular sign reads “WHERE STORIES BEGIN.”
The shop narrows to a pointed pavement corner, where tiled ground lines wrap around the building and leave most of the surrounding field open. “BOOK STORE” appears on the shorter fascia face, with “SEOUL STORIES BEGIN” continuing along the longer side in narrow capitals. A striped-by-hatching awning covers shelves crowded with upright books. At street level, the glazed door and steps are joined by two stools, a small pedestal table, potted shrubs, and an A-frame board marked “LOST IN THE PAGES.” Even the small signboard is given the same precise, ink-built attention as the bookstore windows.
