Design story & product details
Flat grey negative space is left open between the black skyline at the upper left and the lower ribbon, giving the crowded lettering room to break into separate tiers. Steel-blue swooshes and radiating star bursts travel out from the tall tower, while small stars punctuate the otherwise bare field without adding another scene.
On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, Seoul Urban Street builds its middle around two block serif words filled with blue-black building silhouettes. A crown divides the pair of smaller graffiti-style words, and the thorned briar crosses both large words instead of ending at their edges. Vertical chain links make a narrow border on each side. The blue-black fill gives each letter a cutout architectural grain.
The upper word is rendered in heavy blackletter with a black outline, a drop shadow, and thick serifed strokes. The lettering is English, with Seoul naming South Korea’s capital.
At the base, a ribbon carries two smaller gothic words with one star between them. Its open lower surround stays free of extra imagery, which makes the banner read as a final line.
