Design story & product details
Pale grey capitals, densely broken by black speckling, curve around the illustration in an irregular frame. “EXTINCT BUT” forms the upper arc, while “NOT IN A HURRY” bends beneath the image; these are the only words carried by the artwork. Their blunt wording is matched by letterforms that stay mottled and open at the edges. Snarling T Rex is a Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt centred on an intensely worked reptilian head.
- Layered grey scales, green crown ridges and spikes construct the head, while yellow-orange eyes narrow around dark pupils.
- Crowded cream teeth enclose dark red flesh and a green tongue; heavy black contours and stippling divide plate from plate.
- An uneven black splatter field carries deep blue patches, small white dots and yellow four-pointed stars, with tall jagged yellow forms at either side.
Nothing smooths the image into a badge: the splatter breaks irregularly into the surrounding white, and the speckled letter fills have no solid outer border. That unfinished edge keeps the words linked to the reptile’s hard, overlapping facial plates while leaving room around the whole composition without closing off the surrounding white space.
