Design story & product details
A striped cat extends along the upper length, one paw stretched forward to rest atop a rounded stair-post cap and the other dropping just past the rail. The cat’s tail curves sharply back over its body, making a gentle arc that echoes the twisting plant in the lower corner. Subtle navy stripes and cream spaces shape the fur, and the paws show small, careful curls at the edge of each toe.
Between the handrails, two lines of heavy blackletter spell out “STAIRS EXIST” in deep rust-red. The initial S towers above the rest, while diamond-shaped notches break up the thick letter columns. There’s no stray mark—the letters feel deliberate yet rough, with solid fills and pointed tips giving them weight among the crisp treads and delicate cream rails.
The left stairs climb in staggered segments painted olive green and deep navy, each step detailed with fine, scratch-like cream lines, while heart-shaped leaves cluster close to the bottom right, their olive tones veined in cream.
