Design story & product details
Layered cream lettering gives the mark a sign-painted weight against the solid gray field, with a black outline and drop shadow holding the curves apart. “Standby” lifts in a shallow arch, its opening S and final b drawn into thick swashes, while the smaller serif “You” is framed by paired short double-line dashes. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the Standby You artwork keeps that concentrated lettering block balanced by the clear space left overhead.
Two motorcycle helmets bring the scene into focus: a cream and white helmet with teal and dark navy diagonals leads in front, while a gunmetal gray helmet with a pale stripe overlaps behind it. Both dark visors are shaded with the same stippled, engraved treatment used across the black quilted leather seat. Cream stitching traces the seat’s padded sections, and the central buckle strap remains visible between the helmets and the lettering, a small construction detail that keeps the illustration from reading like a simple racing emblem.
