Design story & product details
Ink and halftone give Temple Roof Ink a worked-on surface, where a Korean hanok roof image meets brush lettering on a unisex longsleeve T-shirt. Curved ridge tiles, stacked rows and dark bracket forms retain their architectural character while their edges dissolve into dots. The main line reads “LEAP OVER THE WALL,” its black capitals dragged into uneven dry-brush strokes and a subtly sloping baseline.
A blue-purple diagonal paint slash breaks the space between “OVER” and “WALL,” with three shorter blue marks carrying the eye toward the Korean wording below. Those Korean words mean “the feeling of going beyond.” Small birds and a fine roof-like line drawing appear with three blue plus signs, while the opposite edge carries isolated marks, a short vertical stroke and a small target circle. An equal-sign-and-dots detail is easy to miss among the scattered ink.
The graphic is made through contrasts in mark-making: photographic roof detail against halftone fade, crisp technical symbols against loose splatters, and dense black brushwork against restrained blue accents. Fine dots and broken patches leave breathing room around the lettering without softening its force, while the thin rule beneath the Korean text gives the composition a measured finish.
