Large and sharply edged white letters spell out “WET” and “ANYWAY” across the front, each word built with a blocky, angular face and edged in heavy navy outlines. The thick blue sides add a sense of depth, with blue scrapes and irregular marks breaking up the surface, especially along the curves of the lower word. Between these bands of lettering, the artwork frames a swimmer seen from behind, cap snug and arms outstretched, as their legs disappear into a swirl of overlapping water and streaked foam. Surface ripples extend outward in packed ovals filled with navy and blue, scattered with fine white splash rays and crisp drops around the swimmer.
