Design story & product details
White gaps around the outer lettering give the black, white and grey composition room to breathe, especially where the curled ends of WILD ROADS turn back into the frame. Pale grey letter faces are cut by thick outlines and deep black insets, while sweeping strokes run out on either side of a small pointed star. On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, the wording WILD ROADS and RIDE FURTHER frames a rider leaning hard over her motorcycle.
The woman’s long hair trails behind a dark fitted jacket, trousers and lace-up boots. Her machine is drawn with the mechanical density of ribbed forks, engine fins, a coil spring and wrapped exhaust pipes; its huge front tyre takes the lower right with curved grooves, fine spokes and a perforated brake disc. A mountain-and-tree image is worked into the fuel tank, echoing the jagged grey ridges and black conifers behind her. Three tiny conifers under the star and the splatters around both wheels prevent the scene from becoming too orderly.
