Design story & product details
World On Mute is an archive-style graphic built from two tightly stacked lines of oversized, heavy condensed capitals: “WORLD” followed by “ON MUTE.” Their pale peach fills are broken by scratches and worn patches, so the block lettering feels repeatedly handled. A speaker mark and an X press in beside the upper line. Beneath the type, a large classical-style head angles upward; horizontal bands obscure the eyes while a broad peach X closes the mouth. On the Heavy Blend Unisex Pullover Hoodie, the face and text read as a single interrupted signal, with thin circular lines passing over the head.
The surrounding field is deliberately crowded but separated by narrow white gutters. Boxed fragments bring wireframe globes, waveform strips, crosshair circles, plus signs and a barcode into the same pale peach and faint grey-green system. One torn-edged peach panel contains pale standing silhouettes behind the three-line “Youth Never Sleeps” message; another patch carries “Offline Since Tomorrow.” “Emotion Collection” appears with a globe, while file language including “Future Archive Division,” “Archive ID 27.04.26,” and “File: YNS_0047” turns the composition into a catalogued transmission. “Feel Everything Say Nothing” and “Silence Is Not Compliance” sharpen the tension between the silenced face, sound imagery and busy archive notation.
