Hyangwonjeong era un pabellón donde el rey y su familia disfrutaban del descanso, ubicado en medio de la belleza escénica del jardín trasero del Palacio Gyeongbokgung. Diseñado con una base de piedra hexagonal, una planta hexagonal y un techo de seis lados, cada detalle de este elegante pabellón fue cuidadosamente elaborado. Las proporciones armoniosas de su estructura resaltan su significado arquitectónico, histórico y artístico, lo que le valió su designación como Tesoro de Corea.
Hyangwonjeong (香遠亭) es un pabellón de madera hexagonal de dos pisos ubicado en el jardín trasero de Gyeongbokgung, Jongno-gu, Seúl. Se encuentra en una pequeña isla en medio del estanque Hyangwonji, conectado por un puente. El nombre "Hyangwon" significa "la fragancia se extiende lejos", simbolizando elegancia y serenidad.
Se cree que fue construido en 1885, su letrero fue inscrito personalmente por el rey Gojong. En 2012, Hyangwonjeong fue designado oficialmente como Tesoro No. 1759 de Corea del Sur.
