Design story & product details
Cream and off-white against solid grey define Beyond The Stars, where an astronaut is turned in three-quarter rear view on a unisex longsleeve T-shirt. The rounded helmet fills the upper portion, its large curved visor holding a reflected four-point star and a faint circular glow. Rivets, hinge hardware, and a round side-mounted lens make the silhouette feel built from working parts.
A slender orbit line loops behind the helmet, carrying one filled dot before it runs beyond the right edge. That small interruption is easy to miss amid the dense helmet detail. Below the figure, the words Beyond The Stars appear in tall, condensed serif letters: Beyond has weighty slab strokes, a restrained outer outline, and a slight shadow, while The Stars is spaced in smaller capitals.
Fine cross-hatching and stippled shading shape the helmet, giving the illustration an engraved, woodcut-like surface without adding colour. Dense linework follows the folds and creases through the shoulders and suit, so the fabric reads as constructed and worn. The solid cream lettering remains flat, allowing the helmet’s drawn texture to do the visual work while the lower grey area stays open.
