Open space gives the lower details room to register: a rounded tan-gold ornament, black outlined, holds two red compartments beside two tan-gold circles, while short bars with softened ends extend on either side. Above it, a broad ribbon rises in an arch and breaks into pointed, notched tails that angle down and outward. Its dark red face is held inside tan-gold trim and substantial black contours, with angular black fold marks where the tails disappear behind the main band.

The Classic Dad Hat carries “Bien joué,” French for “well played,” in heavy white serif lettering that follows the curve of the ribbon. Fine tan-gold edging and a black outer contour keep each letter distinct against the red. The words fill nearly all of the central panel, and the accent over the final letter lands unusually close to the right-hand border. The lower device reads as a separate, measured element beneath the arch, with clear air between it and the ribbon instead of being joined into a single badge.
