Description
Thick, sharply defined capital letters are embroidered in a deep blue-grey thread across the front, all set in a bold serif font. Every stroke builds a sense of sturdy presence, noticeably thick on the verticals and finished with angled serifs. The intensity of the text stays consistent, but the mood shifts near the center, where a singular twist appears.
Replacing the middle ‘O’ is a rounded rectangle, stitched to resemble the glass of an airplane’s window. It feels instantly familiar and shifts the focus without breaking the uniformity of the text. Within the window shape are two skyscraper outlines, one taller than the other, beside a slender, sloping line acting as a gentle horizon or ledge.
The skyscraper and slope motif is rendered in the faintest lines the embroidery allows, providing a contrast to the bold anchors on either side. All the ample space around the window form is left open, so the embroidered illustration has room to breathe against the script.
