Design story & product details
Mostly empty space gives the whiskers room to travel: fine black lines run well past both cheeks, leaving the cat’s face unusually open around its edges. The seated figure has a broad head, tall triangular ears and golden eyes held in heavy black outlines. A peach nose meets a small forked black mouth, while cream gathers at the middle of the face, muzzle, chest and one front paw.
Calico Color Study appears on a Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt as a layered painted cat, built from uneven turquoise, teal, mustard yellow, orange, coral red and black passages. Colour overlaps through the ears, forehead, cheeks, torso and legs, broken by white scratches, rough brush ends and scattered speckles. One quiet detail is the dark tail, which bends left along the base of the figure. Beneath the paws, short red, yellow and teal streaks make a loose ground without enclosing the animal.
- Black marks separate the chin, toes and portions of the outer silhouette.
