Design story & product details

The loops of this locking carabiner are left open and empty because the steel itself has been bent into an overhand knot. It is drawn in dense, engraving-style crosshatch, down to the knurled screw-lock gate and the small scratches of a well-used clip. Beneath it, tall serif capitals spell out Complicated on Purpose.

The joke is a tool meant to be simple that has been made stubborn anyway, and it suits a longsleeve tee for cool mornings at the crag. Give it to the rock climber in your life for their birthday.
