Design story & product details
A wide red skirt sweeps left from the dancing figure on the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, giving Dance of Joy its broadest field of colour. Its peach face, dark hair and yellow top are bounded by a thick dark burgundy line, while the raised hands carry a little flower fan and two narrow sticks.
Beside her, the second dancer lifts a foot near a red drum with cream ends, its thin cords crossing the drum face. A round-tipped beater rises at one side; an open eye, cream headband tails, blue top and loose cream trousers distinguish this figure from the one with crescent eyes.
Both dancers are grounded by separate muted pink oval shadows, leaving clear open space between their upper bodies. Striped sleeves recur on each figure, but green hanging ties belong to the yellow top, while red waist ties are tied to the blue one.
Under their movement, · Dance of Joy · is written in bold, slanted dark burgundy script, with a small dot on either side. The English words name the scene directly and plainly, and no border closes the illustration.
