Design story & product details
Broad open loops from the oversized D and C give David & Christina Lilies its first gesture, drawing the two names into a single calligraphic structure. Tall, high-contrast serif letters carry cream interiors edged by dark green offsets and fine tan contours; heavy curved stems give way abruptly to fine strokes. The Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt carries the artwork as lettering and botany interlock densely, with the ampersand held inside the same sweep of forms. White openings within the capitals keep the elaborate arrangement from closing in.
Cream lilies unfurl through the names, their petals shaded and curled back around thin brown filaments capped in ochre. One smaller bloom turns sideways, interrupting the larger flowers’ forward-facing petals. Long pointed green leaves and bending stems weave through the letterforms, while fine gold ribbons make loose turns between them. Above each i, a small diamond takes the place of an ordinary dot, giving the familiar names an unusually deliberate finish.
