Design story & product details
The print gives the whale’s black hatching a broken, ink-cut character on the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, with white lines separating its body from the crowded water. Its mouth gapes wide, and blue shading draws the inner jaw into view. Behind that mouth, a double-decked ferry leaves a foamy wake beneath three birds. The cream torn-paper shape carries the whole scene, its ragged edges interrupting the grey surround while rust-brown tape strips cross the top-right and left edges.
Dinner Outlasted the Ferry turns the crossing into a joke about a meal that ran too long. The first two words stretch into tall, condensed black slab capitals, arched and slightly warped; thin white outlines and lines within the letters echo the whale’s cut texture. The smaller navy-blue outlined words finish with a period, giving the sentence a firm stop. Distant hills and a small lighthouse on a pier give the busy water a shoreline, while the whale and wake press together through the middle. Empty grey corners leave room around the ragged paper.
- A tiny black, blue and rust colour-swatch stack marks the paper at mid-left.
- A segmented citrus wedge and blue leafy sprigs meet the lower edge, with small black registration crosses and corner marks around the composition.
