Design story & product details
Flat grey is left open around the edges, giving the crowded central scene room without changing its close transit-car feel. Navy lettering reads FIND REST ON YOUR journey in brush-style script, with capitals and lower-case forms sharing slightly textured, solid strokes. Beneath it, two people sit side by side before subway paneling: the woman’s long hair covers one side of her face as her clasped hands rest in her lap, while the man leans with closed eyes. A scratched window appears at upper left; support poles rise at upper right.
Heavy black-blue crosshatching builds the jackets, ripped jeans and laced sneakers, while the woman’s jacket breaks into a splatter pattern. Fine hatch marks run through the torn areas of the denim, and the sneaker laces are individually indicated instead of disappearing into the darker fill. The man’s open zip-up reveals a simple navy smiley with two dot eyes and a curved mouth.
