Design story & product details
Open gaps between the outer braces leave the crowded warning assembly room to breathe. A red clipped-corner plate anchors the composition, layered through metallic triangular braces, a circular ring and horizontal rods, with ragged black-and-cream diagonal stripes breaking behind it. Bolt heads appear not just at the four corners but midway along the plate edges, a small structural detail that keeps the panel from reading like a simple sign. Its cream inset border holds a tightly compressed sequence of type and symbols.
On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, Hazard 422 carries the visual language of an aged electrical placard without smoothing out its damage. “CAT. NO. NR422” and the smaller “CAT. NO. 422” are separated by short tapered stacks, while cream rules partition the warning copy below. Heavy angular serifs give “HAZARD” its oversized presence; black offset shadows push each letter away from the red ground. The lines “HAZARD OF,” “SEVERE ELECTRICAL,” and “SHOCK OR BURN” tighten into condensed capitals, with “OR” reduced between the final words. An exclamation mark fills the left cream triangle and a lightning bolt fills the right. Black chips, cream scuffs and rusty brown spotting cut through the colour fields, leaving the surface deliberately worn.
