Design story & product details
Tan and charcoal establish the image: a large cratered moon narrows into the tied end of a balloon, while a slender vertical cord reaches the mouth of a dangling, long-tailed canine. On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, fine engraved lines give both forms an etched surface, with worn white patches interrupting their tan and dark areas.
- The left-hand serif block carries the Latin Per Aspera Ad Astra, meaning through hardships to the stars, bracketed by thin rules and small stars.
- On the right, Heaven Bound receives the same ruled treatment, while stippled cloudlike curls, dots, diamonds, and pointed stars break up the open white field.
- At the base, widely spaced The leads into enormous Ascent; its upright serif letters hold mottled tan fills and irregular dark flecks, with no separate outline.
Uneven short rays ring the moon in a deliberately imperfect halo. Fine rules and small ornaments frame the lower lettering, and the cord creates a direct visual line between the balloon knot and the animal’s mouth. This vertical connection makes the animal appear suspended beneath a celestial marker, while the bottom typography supplies the declared destination.
