Design story & product details
Open white space gives the marks room to travel: small dots, diamonds, and pointed stars drift between a tan moon balloon and the lettering. The moon’s charcoal craters are broken by worn white patches, while uneven short rays and stippled, cloudlike curls interrupt its edge.
Per Aspera Ad Astra on the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt joins a moon balloon to a dangling long-tailed canine by a narrow knot and a single vertical cord that reaches its mouth. Fine engraved strokes run through both forms, making the animal feel drawn from the same weathered surface as the moon.
The Latin phrase “Per Aspera Ad Astra” means “through hardships to the stars.” Its bold tan serif capitals appear with “Heaven Bound,” each held between slim rules and small star marks, while the mottled fills carry irregular dark flecks instead of a clean separate outline.
Under the canine, widely spaced “The” leads into an enormous “Ascent.” Fine rules and tiny ornaments close the lettering, giving its large lower words a formal frame without crowding the surrounding field or losing the open white space around them.
