A rover-style machine lowers its jointed arm and pokes a ropey lava boulder with a probe. The boulder splits open to show a molten orange core. Underneath, the deadpan caption says it all: I didn’t know rocks could do that, with the word rocks in big, cracked orange letters that look hot themselves. The joke is that a hard-working robot is suddenly amazed by geology.
