Design story & product details
Korea Original Type is built around an oversized rendering of the word Korea, whose tall letters press close together from edge to edge. On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, the wordmark uses white interiors held by thick black contours, with dense black joins giving the letter group a cut-paper density. Its baseline and cap line refuse a clean row: the K sends one diagonal arm high, while the R drops a slim leg well below the neighboring forms.
- The O has a very slender, rounded vertical black opening, leaving only a thin white ring around it.
- The A carries a long tapering black opening and a notch cut into its lower point.
- Original appears centered beneath in much smaller condensed black capitals, spaced with small but visible gaps.
A clear field of white separates the two lines, making the compact secondary word legible after the crowded upper lettering. Korea is English lettering naming the country; Original describes the source or first form. The uneven letter heights and extended strokes keep the word from reading like a standard typeset line on a page.
