Design story & product details
Large words in a bold condensed serif invite you to “LET THE GARDEN THROUGH,” broken across torn cream paper strips layered at clean, angled lines. Their thick, black letterforms carry a distressed texture, echoing the collage feel of the piece. Intricately drawn, a wrought-iron gate fills the lower part, its spear-pointed bars and visible rust bolts giving a sense of old hardware held together by time and weather. Dense red roses wind through the gate and lettered strips, their grey leaves and thorny vines twisting tightly upward, blending text and illustration.
An extra torn paper label at the side reads “ROSE PLANTING PLAN,” complete with a gate sketch and pencil-style rose, the corner held by a small drawn paperclip. Crosshair icons settle near the corners as if guiding the layered construction. Red strips of tape, mimicking real tape, secure the paper edges in the crowded layout.
