Design story & product details
Blank grey ground carries the composition’s quietest decision: beneath the hand, the field is left open, with no mark competing for the final portion of the image. Torn white paper-like strokes interrupt the grey only at the top and bottom edges.
On the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, the lettering is concentrated high in the artwork. A top row of broad white Korean characters shows cracked, speckled wear, while a rough red character block pushes in from the left and overlaps it. Three white characters continue beside it with a deliberately unsettled baseline.
A black-and-white engraved, halftone-style hand makes a V sign through the lower part of the graphic, its raised fingers crossing into the red block. Fine cross-hatched shading follows the knuckle creases, and a thin white edge keeps the hand distinct from the grey around it. Tiny red ink flecks appear near the middle and right edge.
The words are Korean and mean “life only comes once.” Their worn stamped texture and the hand’s detailed linework give the image two very different kinds of marks without filling the open lower ground.
