Design story & product details
Grey, white, red and black establish a poster-like composition with the blunt contrast of pasted paper and worn ink. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the Korean lettering takes the upper field in distressed, heavy sans-serif forms, its white surfaces broken by cracks and speckling.
The Korean words mean “Life Only Once,” and their arrangement carries as much force as their translation. A red character interrupts the white line beneath the top row, overlapping its edge; the three white characters after it vary subtly in scale and refuse a perfectly even baseline.
Fine red flecks appear around the middle and near the right edge, small enough to suggest leftover ink. Irregular white torn-paper strokes bracket the design at the top and bottom, while the grey ground is allowed to remain broad and unfilled around the graphic.
From the lower area, a black-and-white hand rises in a V peace sign, its fingers crossing into the red letter. Dense halftone and engraved-style crosshatching trace knuckles and creases, with a narrow white contour keeping the hand clear of the grey behind it. Blank grey continues below.
