Design story & product details

On an oversized crewneck tee, the fine pencil crosshatching comes through as soft sepia grain, so the octopus looks like a plate from an old naturalist’s notebook. Its half-closed eye gives it the bored look of an animal that has already planned its way out.

The words Make an Elegant Escape run in swashed cream capitals along one curling arm, beside a row of big ringed suckers. It suits the friend who buys an aquarium membership every year.
