Description
Letterforms at the top of the artwork do most of the talking—tall and narrow, the word MEMORY almost presses together, with strokes faded just enough to hint at erasure or persistence. Right below, the phrase IS NOT A PLACE spreads wider in deep blue, heavier and more solid than what’s above, but with a rhythm that shifts the piece’s weight. Both sit between thin rules that seem to bracket the conversation, blue below and near-black above.
What’s easy to miss is the subtle shift from density to air: a field of grey holds the whole composition, yet where those last small capitals spell out ORIGINAL WORD STUDY, 2026, there’s space—the kind that gives words a little room to echo. The artwork, used for a unisex longsleeve t-shirt, reads as both structured and a touch worn, for anyone who likes their typography with visible edges softened by time. Works as a considered gift or for days when a phrase is enough.
