Quiet Poise to interrupt its illustrated figure. A woman is shown full length, facing right with her head lowered and her back partly turned, rendered in charcoal, black, taupe and cream. The Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt becomes the ground for her long open coat, which opens into broad sweeping folds toward the lower left. Deep black recesses run between cream-edged planes and tan ridges, while fine parallel shading gives the coat a layered, hand-drawn surface.
Her dark hair is gathered into a loose bun, with pale curved highlights threaded through it and a few fine strands escaping the outline. One hand pulls the fabric together at the right hip; just above it, two round buttons are visible on the wide cuff. Under the layered hem, dark trouser legs lead to pointed black heeled shoes marked by narrow highlights. The most concentrated linework gathers in the hair and the overlapping folds below, leaving generous empty space around the figure. It is a study of a turned pose and the movement held in the coat.
