"Rainy Days, City Ways" 11oz Ceramic Mug

Rainy Days, City Ways follows the broad geometry of an overhead crosswalk, where gray bands cut through a crowded street and sidewalks press in at either side. On the Ceramic Mug, small black pedestrian silhouettes gather beneath scattered umbrellas, leaving the upper street comparatively open and white. A single multicolor umbrella is easy to miss among the red, blue, yellow, black, and white canopy marks.

Three yellow taxis interrupt the dark traffic marks, their windows defined with black outlines; the one at the top is clipped by the edge. Flat white building fronts frame the view with fine black window grids and awnings, while the storefront lettering remains too small to read. The artwork’s own phrase, Rainy Days, City ways, runs in a black serif italic with an uneven baseline directly over the pavement, threading between figures instead of claiming a clear patch of street.

• One umbrella combines several colors amid otherwise single-color accents.
• Dense overlaps make the sidewalk crowds feel more compressed than the road.
• Thin sign blocks appear on the storefronts, but no shop names are legible.
