Design story & product details

On a heavyweight oversized tee, the print keeps every brushstroke, so the rusted rivets and the rough cream letters look like paint dragged over steel. The art looks straight up at Chicago’s L as a blurred train with amber windows rolls overhead and the girders cross every which way.

Below the tracks, two kids in winter coats have stopped talking, and one still has his hand raised. That is the joke of “I still pause mid-sentence for trains.” It makes a good birthday gift for a Chicagoan who moved away.
