Rated for Forty Below. Worn Downtown. That is the whole joke. A mountaineer in a mustard parka, dark goggles and gold crampons stands on an icy summit, dressed for the worst cold on earth, while the ribbon below admits the gear mostly goes to the city sidewalk. A snow-crusted gold rope hung with icicles frames the climber like an old expedition poster.

On a hoodie, the boast is at least half true. Give it to the friend who owns serious winter gear and mostly wears it to brunch.
