Design story & product details
The printed brushwork gives Rocky Isles At Sunset a hand-worked presence on the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, where black Korean characters carry the force of a loaded brush. Their thick strokes narrow to tapered ends, and dry, ragged edges prevent the lettering from reading as a clean digital mark. A rough gold-tan layer breaks through around the characters, making the dark ink feel built up in uneven passes.
The words are Korean and mean Dokdo is our pride. A finer line of black brush script has sharper tails, while small splatter dots interrupt the grey field at either side. Three gulls cut diagonally through the open band, their black bodies balanced by white wing undersides; that pause between the dense elements gives the artwork room without thinning its energy.
The mark is made as a layered illustration: monochrome-brown rocky isles rise from near-black teal water, edged in white foam. A solid gold sun or moon is partly screened by cloud contours traced in gold, bringing a flat graphic counterpoint to the textured lettering. Black, gold-tan, brown, dark teal, and white remain distinct, so the varied brush and ink effects hold together without smoothing away their roughness.
