The Roll Away Double Block hat works with a solid gray ground, letting blue-gray collegiate letters form a muted, seamless look. The upper word is slightly arched and close in tone to the background, so the letters reveal themselves only from certain angles or in particular light. Underneath, a noticeably wider word stretches almost from edge to edge, in the same block style, with each corner crisply notched and cut. Both words settle into a thickly stitched cluster at the center, bracketed by an intentional gray emptiness above and below.
Just beneath, a small detail brings a sharp shift: vivid green, diagonally scripted in two stacked lines, topped off with a brush-like underline. This flash of color comes alive against the otherwise subtle palette, with its dramatic tilt and casual hand-drawn feel contrasting the controlled, grid-like type above.
